Wahoo Integration

Wahoo creates innovative fitness devices focused on indoor training and cycling performance. Connect your Wahoo account to GymLive to share your training data from KICKR trainers, ELEMNT bike computers, and TICKR heart rate monitors with your coach.
Wahoo integration requires signing in with your Wahoo account to authorize GymLive access to your fitness data.

What Data Can Be Synced?

Wahoo provides detailed training metrics:
  • Workout Data: Power, cadence, speed, distance, elevation
  • Heart Rate: From TICKR monitors with advanced metrics
  • Indoor Training: KICKR trainer sessions with ERG mode data
  • Outdoor Rides: GPS routes from ELEMNT computers

Setup Instructions

Set Up Wahoo App

Ensure your devices sync properly:
  1. Download Wahoo app (formerly Wahoo Fitness)
  2. Create or sign into your Wahoo account
  3. Pair your Wahoo devices via Bluetooth
  4. Complete a test workout to verify syncing
All Wahoo devices must be paired to the Wahoo app first.

Connect Wahoo to GymLive

In the GymLive app:
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Select Wahoo
  3. Tap Sign in with Wahoo
  4. You’ll be redirected to Wahoo’s login page

Grant Authorization

On Wahoo’s authorization page:
  1. Enter your Wahoo account credentials
  2. Review requested permissions
  3. Click Authorize to grant access
  4. You’ll return to GymLive automatically
Use the account that’s linked to your Wahoo devices.

Verify Connection

After authorization:
  1. Wahoo shows as “Connected” in GymLive
  2. Recent workouts begin syncing
  3. Historical data (30 days) syncs gradually
  4. New workouts sync automatically

Creating Workouts

In Wahoo app:
  1. Go to Workouts tab
  2. Create custom workout
  3. Set power/HR targets

Troubleshooting

  1. Check Wahoo app:
    • Open Wahoo app
    • Go to History
    • Verify workout appears
    • Pull down to refresh
  2. Force sync:
    • In workout details
    • Tap share icon
    • Select “Upload to Cloud”
    • Check GymLive in 5 minutes
For smart trainer problems:
  1. Update KICKR firmware via Wahoo app
  2. Ensure single app controls KICKR
  3. Close other cycling apps
  4. Power cycle KICKR (unplug 30 seconds)
  5. Re-pair in Wahoo app
